About our Pastors
Christian City Church Greensboro was birthed in 1999 when Pastors Whitman
and Ressie Toland moved to Greensboro from their home church in Asheville, NC.
Whitman served on staff at The Rock of Asheville for 8 years before being
sent out to plant a church in the Triad.
Our pastors believe, strongly, that the Triad is significant geographically and spiritually in the Kingdom of God. They live their lives, every day, with the knowledge that God desires to move supernaturally in the Triad. Partnering with the community to bring God's love and purpose here is a constant task.
Their passion is to unlock the people of C3 Church - to see what is possible - and to help all to know that God can do great things through a willing and obedient people. Their desire is to see the house of God become the most influential place in the Triad and beyond, for God's glory and fame.
Pastors Whitman & Ressie just celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary in April, 2010. They have four sons of amazing character: Andrew, Spencer, Ashton and Evan - and a smallish brown curly-haired dog named Chase Riley.
