A Corporate Outlook

Particpiating in corporate matters can unleash power into our lives.

Western churches tend to focus on the individual. We all tend to read scripture thinking, “what does this mean for me?” For example, look at Eph 6:10NKJV.

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.”

This is very encouraging for the individual but this verse is also meant for the Church as a whole. Breaking it down, we see that “Be strong in the Lord” means be strong in His supreme authority (not own strength). “In the power of His might” means in the force of God’s ability. There is a lot of resistance to the Body of Christ, the Church. As we walk in this scripture as a collective body, we will walk in His authority, power and abilty. This will enable us as the Church to be successful in these trying times and collectively influence and rule the area that God has given us.

When we read scripture and hear preaching, let’s broaden our vision and think of how it affects the Church. When we keep our focus on just our personal lives, we will remain frustrated. However, focusing on corporate matters will actually enable us to overcome our individual problems. Particpate in corporate spiritual matters such as prayer, worship, giving and serving. This will unleash the powerful corporate anointing in our indiividual lives and empower us to be victorious as a church and individuals.
