How to qualify for God’s blessings
Consider the following statements. They are thoughts that all of us have. Many people consider them to be absolute truth when in actuality, they are completely false.
“I no longer count on my own goodness or my ability to obey God’s law, but I trust Christ to save me. For God’s way of making us right with himself depends on faith.” - Phil 3:9 NLT
“You do not measure up to God’s standards.” “He is not pleased with you.” “You are not good enough for God.” “You need to get your act together before He will bless you.” “You have to work hard to earn God’s blessings.” “If you want His love, approval and blessings, you are going to have to earn it!”
The great news is that Christ paid the entire debt of sin by his death on the cross. Because of this, we as Christians, have right standing with God no matter what we do or don’t do. We have acceptance in God’s eyes based on the price Jesus paid. His sacrifice is what qualifies us for God’s blessings, not our efforts.
His work on the cross makes us measure up to God’s standards, not our own works. Our righteousness is based not on what we do but on what Christ already did. God approves of us based on Christ’s performance, not our own. His obedience earns us favor with God, not ours.
If Jesus is your savior, then you already qualify for every blessing that He wants to give you.
God is pleased with you! He delights in you! He accepts you! He loves you! He approves of you!
